Collection: Audio Arts

Audio Arts was a British artist-run audio magazine founded in 1973 by William Furlong and Barry Barker, producing cassette recordings of conversations with artists, critics, curators, and cultural figures across more than three decades. Its archive, now held at Tate, constitutes a significant primary source for the history of contemporary art in Britain and internationally. Audio Arts contributed documentation to The Sculpture Show at the Hayward Gallery and Serpentine Gallery in 1983 and was instrumental in widening access to art discourse during the period.
