By the mid-1980s, Haring’s work had moved between subway drawings, gallery exhibitions, public murals, and accessible printed material. His Pop Shop opened in SoHo in 1986 and was conceived as a way to make his imagery available beyond the gallery system. This postcard belongs to that wider circulation: not an artwork edition, but a small printed support through which the image entered everyday exchange.
