Condition: good vintage condition with original folds, light creasing, handling marks and age wear consistent with period exhibition ephemera.

Scarce original poster produced for Hans Haacke's 1979 exhibition at the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven. One side reproduces material connected to Philips, labour and corporate image-making; the reverse relates to Haacke's work on Philips Iran and the company's public thanks to the Shah of Iran.

The Eindhoven context is important. Philips was not an abstract corporate subject, but part of the city's industrial and social identity. Haacke's work of this period addressed sponsorship, labour, political complicity and the systems through which institutions present themselves.

The poster does more than announce the exhibition. It carries the structure of the work: corporate language becomes source material, institutional critique becomes exhibition, exhibition becomes printed circulation. What remains is a surviving support from that chain of transfer.
