Zavé Martohardjono is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans performance, video, installation and sound. Their work engages with questions of migration, diaspora, the body, spirituality and cross-cultural exchange, drawing on Indonesian and American contexts alongside broader frameworks of postcolonialism and queer identity. Martohardjono has exhibited and performed widely across New York and internationally, and has been involved in community-based and socially engaged projects. They participated in Know Who You Are at Every Age at the Bronx River Art Center in 2014, curated by Q_Raider and BDGRMMR as part of BRAC’s Curatorial Practice Series.
