Collection: Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz

Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz is a Puerto Rican-American artist based in Florida whose practice spans performance, video, installation and community engagement, addressing questions of Latinx identity, feminism, popular culture, spirituality and the politics of representation. She is known for her alter ego Chuleta, a hyperbolic Latina character through which she examines stereotypes, media representation and the complexities of cultural identity with humour and critical acuity. Raimundi-Ortiz has exhibited and performed widely across the United States and internationally, and has been involved in educational and community-based projects. She was included in the S/O section of Know Who You Are at Every Age at the Bronx River Art Center in 2014, curated by Q_Raider and BDGRMMR.
