Collection: Unica Zürn
Unica Zürn (1916–1970) was a German writer and visual artist, best known for her automatic drawings and anagram poems. Her long relationship with Hans Bellmer, whom she met in 1953, placed her at the centre of the Paris Surrealist circle, though her own practice — intricate, obsessive ink drawings populated with figures and faces — has increasingly been recognised as distinct and major in its own right.
