Collection: Terry Gilliam

Terry Gilliam (born 1940, United States; naturalised British citizen) is an American-British filmmaker, animator and former member of Monty Python whose feature films are characterised by elaborate production design, dystopian satire and a visual language rooted in his background as a graphic artist and animator. His films include Brazil (1985), The Fisher King (1991) and Twelve Monkeys (1995). Gilliam participated in Spellbound: Art and Film at the Hayward Gallery, London, in 1996, a collaboration with the British Film Institute marking the centenary of cinema.
