Collection: Rob Wynne

Rob Wynne (born 1950) is an American artist based in New York whose practice encompasses painting, photograms, poured mirrored-glass text works, embroidery and artist books, developed across five decades from roots in Mail Art and the New York Correspondence School. Associated with the informal networks around Ray Johnson in the 1970s, Wynne built a body of work that foregrounds language, desire and the materiality of surfaces, working against the grain of dominant movements while maintaining a consistent presence in American art. His work is held in public collections including MoMA, the Whitney Museum, Centre Pompidou and the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
