Paul van Hoeydonck (b. 1925, Antwerp) is a Belgian artist and sculptor whose work spans kinetic art, space-age imagery and figurative sculpture. He is best known internationally for Fallen Astronaut (1971), the only artwork placed on the Moon, left on the lunar surface during the Apollo 15 mission. His broader practice engages with the human figure in relation to technology, movement and the cosmos.
