Collection: Nancy Spector

Nancy Spector (born 1957) is an American curator and critic who served as Chief Curator and Deputy Director for Exhibitions at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, and later as Artistic Director and Chief Curator at the Guggenheim. Over four decades she organised major retrospectives and catalogue projects for artists including Matthew Barney, Maurizio Cattelan, Felix Gonzalez-Torres and Roni Horn, producing sustained critical writing that became a primary point of reference for each body of work. Her essays are widely anthologised in exhibition catalogues and institutional publications across North America and Europe.
