Mary Valverde

Mary Valverde is a New York-based artist whose practice engages with painting, drawing and mixed media, often addressing questions of identity, memory, the body and cultural heritage. Her work has been shown in New York and internationally, and she has been involved in community-based and socially engaged projects across the city. She participated in Know Who You Are at Every Age at the Bronx River Art Center in 2014, curated by Q_Raider and BDGRMMR as part of BRAC’s Curatorial Practice Series.
