Luis Camnitzer (born 1937) is a Uruguayan-born, New York-based artist, printmaker and educator whose conceptual practice engages with language, politics, colonialism and the ethics of representation. A founding member of the New York Graphic Workshop in 1964, he has been a central figure in Latin American Conceptualism and a persistent critic of the institutional structures of the international art world. He was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship in 1961 and has exhibited widely in Europe and the Americas.
