Collection: Kenya Robinson
Kenya (Robinson) is a New York-based artist, curator and cultural producer whose practice spans installation, performance, sound, text and social engagement. Working under the name Kenya (Robinson) — the parentheses functioning as a formal and conceptual device — her work addresses questions of identity, language, race, gender and the politics of naming and visibility. She has exhibited and performed widely across New York and internationally, and has been involved in curatorial and community-based projects that operate at the intersection of contemporary art and social practice. She participated in Know Who You Are at Every Age at the Bronx River Art Center in 2014, curated by Q_Raider and BDGRMMR.
