Collection: Jean Clareboudt
Jean Clareboudt (b. 1946, Belgium) is a sculptor whose practice engages with weight, tension, industrial material, and the occupation of public and open space. His work often involves large-scale stone, steel, and found industrial elements placed in dialogue with architectural and civic environments. He is associated with a generation of European sculptors working at the intersection of land art, public commission, and material investigation.
Clareboudt’s monumental work Orme au Chat was installed on Boulevard Brandenbourg, Ivry-sur-Seine, in 1990, in connection with his exhibition Oblique Haute at CREDAC, Centre d’Art Contemporain, Galerie Fernand Léger.
This collection gathers exhibition invitations, catalogues, and printed matter relating to Clareboudt’s practice.
