Collection: Jaye Rhee

Jaye Rhee is a Korean-born, New York-based artist whose practice spans video, performance and installation, engaging with questions of the body, desire, vulnerability, humour and the absurd. Her video works often feature the artist herself in performances that are simultaneously playful and unsettling, using repetition, physical endurance and deadpan delivery to examine social conventions, gender and the limits of the body. Rhee has exhibited widely across New York and internationally, and her work has been presented in major institutions and festivals. She was included in the S/O section of Know Who You Are at Every Age at the Bronx River Art Center in 2014, curated by Q_Raider and BDGRMMR.
