Collection: Jaret Vadera
Jaret Vadera is a Toronto and New York-based artist whose practice spans installation, video, drawing and text, engaging with questions of translation, perception, surveillance, conflict and the politics of representation. His work draws on a wide range of source material — news media, scientific imagery, popular culture, religious iconography — to examine how images and information are produced, circulated and interpreted across different cultural and political contexts. Vadera has exhibited internationally and has been involved in projects addressing diaspora, postcolonialism and the ethics of looking. He participated in Know Who You Are at Every Age at the Bronx River Art Center in 2014, curated by Q_Raider and BDGRMMR.
