Collection: HOUSE OF LADOSHA
HOUSE OF LADOSHA is a Brooklyn-based queer collective founded in 2009, operating across performance, video, music, fashion and social practice. The collective emerged from New York’s ballroom and club culture and developed a practice that brought together drag, voguing, DIY aesthetics and community-building with a sustained engagement with questions of race, gender, sexuality and visibility. Members have included Cunty Crawford, Dorian Corey Ladosha, Cunty Ladosha, Deja Ladosha, Juliana Huxtable and others. HOUSE OF LADOSHA participated in Know Who You Are at Every Age at the Bronx River Art Center in 2014, curated by Q_Raider and BDGRMMR, and subsequently entered the institutional orbit of the New Museum, including the exhibition Trigger: Gender as a Tool and a Weapon in 2017. Their work has been presented internationally and is held in major collections.
