Collection: Heather Hart

Heather Hart is a Brooklyn-based artist whose practice spans sculpture, installation, performance and community engagement. Her work frequently takes the form of large-scale architectural structures — rooftops, porches, platforms — that function simultaneously as objects, gathering spaces and propositions about shelter, belonging, access and the politics of public and domestic space. Hart has exhibited widely across New York and internationally, and has been involved in public art commissions and socially engaged projects addressing questions of race, community and the built environment. She was included in the S/O section of Know Who You Are at Every Age at the Bronx River Art Center in 2014, curated by Q_Raider and BDGRMMR.
