Eileen Cooper

Eileen Cooper (born 1953) is a British painter and printmaker whose work centres on the female body, fertility, desire and transformation, rendered in bold, expressive colour with a strong graphic sensibility. She studied at Goldsmiths and the Royal College of Art and has exhibited widely in Britain and internationally. She was elected a Royal Academician in 2001 and served as Keeper of the Royal Academy from 2010 to 2017.
