Collection: Anton Corbijn
Anton Corbijn (b. 1955, Strijen, Netherlands) is a photographer, film director, and video artist whose practice has moved between music photography, portraiture, cinema, and fine art since the late 1970s. He is known for his long-term collaborations with Depeche Mode, U2, and Nirvana, and for his 33 Still Lives project: staged celebrity portraits made to resemble paparazzi images, film stills, and fragments from imagined documentaries.
Corbijn has exhibited at TORCH Gallery, Amsterdam; Hamiltons Gallery, London; and major institutions internationally. His films include Control (2007) and The American (2010).
This collection gathers exhibition invitations, announcement cards, and printed matter relating to Corbijn’s practice.
