Light handling and faint surface marks, with minor edge wear and a small crease at the upper-left corner.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Venice exhibition followed the Centre Pompidou presentation of \u003cem\u003eDessins \/ Drawings \/ Disegni\u003c\/em\u003e, held in Paris from October 2003 to January 2004. Twenty-five works traced more than two decades of Horn’s drawing practice, including pigment drawings assembled from cut sheets and photographic portraits subjected to a related process of division and reconstruction.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe invitation reproduces \u003cem\u003eClownpout (4)\u003c\/em\u003e, 2002. Two photographic heads have been cut apart and interlocked until the face appears simultaneously doubled, blurred and partially erased. The Centre Pompidou described these works as images in which the act of cutting and near-destructive recomposition corresponded directly to the psychological force of the subject.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, Centre Pompidou and Galleria di Piazza San Marco are arranged as consecutive entries along the lower edge. The reverse is almost entirely unprinted: curator, opening time and address occupy one corner; public dates, daily hours, Tuesday closure, telephone, email and website occupy another.
