The Berlin exhibition was initially abandoned after East German authorities resisted his proposal for simultaneous exhibitions on both sides of the city. Following the opening of the Berlin Wall in November 1989, the project was reinstated and opened at the Altes Museum the following March.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe catalogue consequently records more than one exhibition. It carries a project interrupted by the state and returned to circulation through political change.
